FISH MIGRATION DAY
We were very lucky to be able to go and have a look at and learn about whitebait and fish on Friday. There were lots of different people from DoC, Environment NZ and the CCC at our school to celebrate World Fish Migration Day. The seniors at Opawa are working with different people to help look after our river because it isn't very healthy at the moment.
Here are some pictures.

HEALTH & WELLBEING
It's important to wash your hands.
We have been working hard on this as so many people have been sick.
If you aren't feeling well, it's a good idea to have a day at home so that you can rest.
It's also a good idea so that you don't spread your germs.

Head Lice
We don't have head lice in Room 4 but it's a good idea to get someone in your family to check for head lice now and again!
They are normal and everyone gets them but they can make you feel a bit yucky and under the weather too.
If you are scratching your head lots, get someone to check your hair!

The Letter of the Week is...

This will be a tricky letter - who can find some 'U' things to share this week?
On Wednesday we are going to have an Umbrella and Gumboot walk.
If you have an umbrella, could you ask if you can bring it to school?
