SWIMMING - This week we will swim on Thursday this week. I will let you know our other swimming day once we have the timetable finalised. Be ready to swim twice a week!

  • Be ready with all your clothing and swimming gear named.
  • It is a good idea not to wear leggings, tights and thermals on your swimming days because they can be a bit tricky when you get changed.
  • Remember to wear shoes that are easy for you to take off and put on too. We have lots of people who can help with shoelaces now!

LEARNING CONFERENCES - next week 27/28/29 November 2017

Learning Conferences are next week. Don't forget to book online.
School closes at 2pm on Tuesday 28th November and Wednesday 29th November.

See you all tomorrow.

Trip To Town and Other Info

Room 4 Information for Week 4

This week the Letter of the Week is R.
We will look at the sound gr makes too.

  • Library books can be returned to the purple box in Room 4 - we didn't get to go last week due to our trip to town!
  • Swimming - we are unlikely to be swimming before Show Weekend. I will let you know if this changes.
The weather is warming up and the children get hot!
It would be a good idea to leave thermals off for this term. If you are worried, you can send your child's thermal to school in their bag for them to change into.
It is also a good idea to swap leggings for bike pants or shorts too.

Thank you to everyone who made our Trip To Town a success.
We had a fantastic day.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and learnt some interesting things about our city - Christchurch.
We will continue our learning over the next 2 weeks.

On the tram!
We had it all to ourselves and enjoyed seeing all the interesting sights in and around our city.

Waiting to go on our museum adventure.

In the museum!
Ask your child to explain this display.

This was interesting too and I know everyone knows about this!

Learning with Anthony in the museum.
Room 4 knew so much and made some accurate predictions about
the things we had to work with.

This was for lighting fires and we made it smell like popcorn!
Everyone had to work their arm muscles to get it to work.

Drilling holes.
Ka pai Room 4 - you managed to make this tricky tool work!!!

Umm... I wonder what this was for?

Tree climbing in the Botanical Gardens.
We had an amazing time in the trees.

Down to work.
Sketching the Peacock Fountain.

This was Glen's group of explorers.

Sketching the daisies for an art work design.

We found this very secret garden!
Shhhh... don't tell anyone where it is!

Mariesa's group working hard in the gardens.

Thanks for being such as awesome class.
I was very proud of you all on Friday.

I hope you all had a good sleep last night.
See you on Monday.
