Week 7 & 8 in Room 4...

The letter of the week has been Ii and Ll

  

We had Ice Creams to celebrate at the end of Ii week!

Room 4 have been working hard on writing. 

We 'Write Around the Room' every day and practice our spelling words. 
Everyone gets to choose from our special Rainbow Writing pens and can use clipboards, notebooks, notepads, special 'office' books, whiteboards or plain paper to write on.

We made Indian headbands and wore them to Te Reo Maori.

We looked awesome heading off in our Room 4 line with

Whea Tracy! Ka pai Room 4.

Sadie had some interesting news this week!

She shared her pet bird with us.

Thanks for bring Booboo in to meet us.

Thanks to everyone for all the neat things you have shared for news and the letter of the week.

REMEMBER... we don't bring toys to school unless they begin with the letter of the week. They need to stay on our sharing table otherwise they might get lost or damaged.

STAR WARS PLAY ZONE - this is on Monday in Room 8. Remember to bring your bits and pieces.

Room 4 has started creating their calendar art.

Our theme is around our Inquiry topic: Kiwiana.

The children chose what they wanted to create and we have Jaffa and Paua artworks in Room 4!

You will be able to view and order our art pieces next term and order through Home and School so that your calendars, cards etc are ready for Christmas! 

This is the beginning of our Paua creations.

We used shaving foam and colouring to achieve our Paua look.

This week we will complete our pieces.

James and Lucy have been our 'STARS' over the past two weeks.

WOW - What a huge week Room 4 has had!

Today we had so much fun!

We had a visit from Lisa and Chris (known as Carrot and Pickles when they are presenting their clown act).

They came to teach us about the Circus because the letter of the week was 'C' and Room 4 has all been about the Circus this week.

 On Monday we really enjoyed learning about Singapore.

Eve 's mum, Salinah made us delicious chicken and rice and let us try on all the traditional costumes she has.

We learnt lots about Singapore and had FUN!!!
